Guest jamiefox Report post Posted 04/18/2007 03:18 PM I am upgrading from demo VG for TAPI modems to using a Dialogic D/41ESC PCI card with appropriate software. I have installed the hardware in a Win XP Pro box w/ SR 5.1.1 & SP1 updates. I followed all the instructions, but I am still having problems. DCM shows the card correctly and can start it. UCC test shows no errors found passed all tests. The Wave driver installs OK. In the hardware window it shows the card with a yellow “?” and has drive not installed in the properties. Also has TAPI configure tab that detects the board, but show no telephony device to be able to install with software. We like the software a lot but can not get the card working! Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. P.S. I tried this on a Win 2000 Pro box also with the exact same results??? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/18/2007 09:32 PM The Wave driver installs OK. You do not need to install the Wave Driver. 'VoiceGuide for Dialogic' does not use Wave drivers. In the hardware window it shows the card with a yellow “?” and has drive not installed in the properties. That makes no difference to card's operation. The .inf files posted here should fix that ? in HW Window: http://resource.intel.com/telecom/support/...winnt/tn383.htm Just download latest "VoiceGuide for Dialogic" and install it on your system. Make sure the Dialogic Service is running before starting VoiceGuide install (check using Dialogic Configuration Manager). After install is done you will be able to immediately dial in and hear VG answer the call. (uninstall VG for TAPI before installing VG for Dialogic) Share this post Link to post

I had all that in place and when I selected the line on the card in VG, IT WORKED! I still have the TAPI version installed. When I install the Dialogic version of VG, can I use the .vgs file from the TAPI version? I use one line to answer my all my calls. I also want to use Fax Back capabilities. Can I use the single line version along with this configuration? Or should I attach the Fax line to a separate fax modem? Share this post Link to post

You need to make sure the sound files are in 8kHz format. should I attach the Fax line to a separate fax modem? Yes. You should have a separate line attached to the fax modem.
